The Original Gospel

Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word of Christ.Romans 10:17

Christ is God

Jesus Christ is the only God in all existence. He is God (Jehovah, Elohim) in flesh:

God said to Moses, "I am that I am." And he said, "You must say this to the Israelites, 'I am has sent me to you.'"Exodus 3:14

Jesus said to them, "I tell you the solemn truth, before Abraham came into existence, I am!"John 8:58

It is imperative that you understand who Christ really is!

2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses Jesus as the Christ who has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God, and this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and now is already in the world.1 John 4:2-3

Jesus Christ is both God and man:

For there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human1 Timothy 2:5

Salvation is by grace through faith alone

8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast.Ephesians 2:8-9

Salvation is not by works:

You who are trying to be declared righteous by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace!Galatians 5:4

I do not set aside God's grace, because if righteousness could come through the law, then Christ died for nothing!Galatians 2:21

Is the law therefore opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that was able to give life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law..Galatians 3:21

For no one is declared righteous before him by the works of the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.Romans 3:20

Christ was literally and physically resurrected

And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is futile and your faith is empty.1 Corinthians 15:14

And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is useless; you are still in your sins.1 Corinthians 15:17

19 Jesus replied, "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again."

The Gospel Summarized

Jesus Christ is the one true God in flesh. He died for the sins of the world and was then physically resurrected. His death atoned for all sins, and there is nothing else needed (not works, not baptism, not anything) for our salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ alone.
